CPA Australia
CPA Australia nominated MND Australia as the inaugural President's Charity from March 2008 to March 2009. Alex Malley, whose mother died from motor neurone disease (MND), has been a friend of MND for a number of years. He was President of CPA (certified practicing accountants) Australia during this time and initiated the President's Charity whereby the President personally selects a charity to support for the duration of their presidential term. CPA Australia members got involved in raising awareness of MND during this time holding morning teas to commemorate Global Day and selling merchandise at events during the year.
