MND Australia relies on public donations for research and to provide information, awareness and advocacy for people living with MND. Your contribution will help to make a difference for MND now and in the future. Donations of $2 and over to MND Australia are tax deductable.

Where will my money go?

• The MND Research Institute of Australia funds peer-reviewed research at leading Australian universities. Motor neurone disease has a relatively low profile in the community, and scientists’ search for a cause, cure and treatment relies on the commitment and fundraising efforts of MND Australia’s supporters.
• The diagnosis of motor neurone disease can be devastating, and people with MND and their families need access to the highest quality information. Your donation will enable us to produce national publications and online resources that are crucial for informing people at every stage of the disease, as well as the health professionals who care for them.  
• MND Australia is the national voice of people with motor neurone disease, their families and the countless others affected by the disease. Your donation will help to ensure their voices are heard by the government in the issues that matter – disability support and services, palliative care, aged care, support for carers and research funding - through our national advocacy activities.

What about administration costs?

Every dollar donated for MND research is spent on MND research. MND Australia relies upon a tiny but committed team of four part time staff members who, along with our devoted volunteers, work towards efficient operation of the organisation. We are committed to minimising running costs and details of MND Australia’s financial audits are available upon request.

Including a gift in your will, no matter what size, is one of the easiest and most powerful ways to support MND. Sometimes it's difficult to give as generously as we might like to during our lives. Leaving a bequest enables you to support motor neurone disease in the way you wanted, but may not have been able to, during your life. Family and friends of our supporters come first – it’s not an either/or decision, but if you decide to leave a bequest it can make a significant difference.

MND Australia has joined togther with over 130 charities on Include a Charity to raise awareness about leaving a gift in your will.
