One national body for care and research

Carol Birks, National Executive Director MND Australia and Janet Nash, Executive Officer MNDRIA
became officially effective on Tuesday 4 May with the amalgamation of MND Australia and the MND Research Institute of Australia (MNDRIA).
MND Australia is now the principal member of the MND Research Institute of Australia. The Board members of the Institute are the same as the Board of MND Australia.
The Research Committee of MNDRIA continues to review research grant applications and determine the distribution of funds within the set policies, and according to the criteria for scientific assessment. The operations of both organisations will be the responsibility of MND Australia.
We hope that this amalgamation will provide a stronger voice for MND care and research nationally in the future.
