MND Australia in partnership with MND NSW were the hosts for the 19th International ALS/MND Alliance meetings and the 22nd International ALS/MND Symposium in Sydney in 2011.
19th Annual Meeting International Alliance of ALS/MND Associations
27 and 28 November:
The Annual Meeting of the International Alliance of ALS/MND Associations brings together ALS/MND Associations from around the world to share initiatives and develop strategies for fighting ALS/MND. Attendance is encouraged for all Alliance members and people living with ALS/MND are welcomed as observer/participants in the meeting.
Delegates from Taiwan, Japan, Germany, South Africa, Finland, Scotland, Brazil and England provided information on their services and initiatives developed by their organisations. Updates on partnerships between the USA and Israel and Canada with Russia, Estonia and Greece were also provided at the meeting - presentations now available for download here.
28 November - 2pm to 4.30pm
A free session for people living with MND, their family and friends to ask international experts about the latest developments in MND care and research.

A collaboration between the International Alliance and the Motor Neurone Disease Association of England, Northern Ireland and Wales, the Allied Professionals Forum is focused on practice and experience for health professionals in the care and support of people living with ALS/MND.

22nd International ALS/MND Symposium

Organised each year by the MND Association of England, Northern Ireland and Wales, this is only the second time MND Australia has hosted the Symposium in its 22 year history.
