Working towards a world without MND

MND Australia will continue to collaborate with our members to champion the rights of people living with motor neurone disease (MND) as we work together towards a world without MND. Future initiatives:

  • Finalise the MND Australia Strategic Plan 2015–18 to steer core activities of supporting and delivering value to our member organisations, raising awareness, providing trusted information, advocacy and supporting research
  • Develop information resources and education campaigns for Australian health professionals to assist them in making early diagnoses of MND
  • Revamp and launch the mobile-optimised MNDcare website to better assist health practitioners in finding trusted information on MND
  • Foster an active community of notable advocates by engaging politicians, key decision-makers and famous Australians
  • Provide additional research grants to Australian researchers to support international collaboration and Australian ingenuity
  • Improve the national collation of information about Australians living with MND by funding the development of the Australian MND Registry.
