MND Week 2017

A big holiday, a special event, seeing the children grow up … life is punctuated with moments big and small that bring meaning and joy. This MND Week (7 – 13 May) we launch Life Measured in Moments, a series of videos about people touched by MND who share treasured times from their lives. In the coming weeks you will meet:

  • Trevor who continues to enjoy the sea breeze thanks to the MND Western Australia transport service
  • Kirsten who explains how support from MND New South Wales is allowing her to enjoy more special times with her young daughter
  • Kristine whose chance meeting with an MND Advisor from MND South Australia changed her world and allowed her mother to live better for longer
  • Patrick who can focus on enjoying day-to-day life thanks to the guidance of an MND Advisor from MND Queensland
  • Jennifer, an MND researcher whose career is dotted with eureka moments of gene discovery.

ABOUT MND WEEK

Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Week is held nationally in the first full week of May each year. During the week, State MND Associations work together to raise awareness and share our vision of a world without MND. It is also a time to acknowledge the MND community, especially people living with MND, and to remember those who have died.
