Today is the beginning of MND week 2018 and this year we are pleased to announce the launch of Make Aged Care Fair – a new campaign that calls on the Government to make sure people diagnosed with motor neurone disease when aged 65 or over have access to the right care, in the right place, at the right time.

A total of 567 people have responded to the MND Australia Research Priorities Survey, providing feedback on MND research and the many challenges faced by people with MND and their families. The survey results will help to develop MND Australia’s future research strategy.

We have recently re-structured our small team and introduced two new part time positions. Newly created opportunities exist for an experienced, dynamic and passionate donor and events manager and an experienced accounts and administration officer to join the MND Australia team.

“Nina’s” celebrate the contribution and commitment demonstrated by Nina Buscombe to improve services, management and research for people with motor neurone disease through travel, training and conference attendance. The Award is presented and administered by MND Victoria and is intended to fund attendance at training, conferences or seminars within Australia or overseas.
The training, conference or seminar must have content that will help to improve the quality of services, management or research for people living with motor neurone disease.
